Augmind Studio

Terms of Service

Effective: May 2026. Early-access version.

What this is

Augmind Studio ("Augmind") is a SaaS for coaches, tutors, and program leads to assign speech prompts, get AI-assisted grading drafts, and publish reviewed feedback to students. These Terms govern your use of the service.

By signing up you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't sign up.

Early access

The service is in invite-only early access. It's free for this period; we may introduce pricing later with at least 30 days' notice. We may also limit features, throttle usage, or pause your account if needed to protect the service.

Your account

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

AI output

AI-generated grading drafts and feedback are produced by third-party language models (OpenAI). They can be wrong, inconsistent, or miss context. We surface them to you for review. Nothing publishes to a student until you approve it. You are responsible for the published feedback your students see.

Content ownership

You retain ownership of the prompts, rubrics, and feedback text you create. By using the service you give us a license to process your content for the purpose of delivering the service (running it through Whisper, the grading LLM, storing it in Supabase, etc.). We don't use your content to train AI models.

Student recordings belong to the student (or the consenting parent for minors). You and your institution have the right to access them for grading; deletion rights work as described in the Privacy Policy.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time. Email us at hi@augmindstudio.com and we'll close your account and delete the data per our Privacy Policy schedule.

We can terminate your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the service, or if we need to stop operating the service. If we terminate you for non-breach reasons we'll give at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your data.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI output will be accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) US$100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

Institutional contracts

If your school, district, or organization has signed a separate master service agreement with Augmind, that agreement supersedes these Terms for users covered by it.

Changes

If we make a material change to these Terms, we'll show a notice when you next sign in and pin the new version date at the top of this page. Continued use after the notice = agreement to the updated Terms.
